WAIVER CLAIM DEADLINE:

AUGUST 23RD @ 8:00 PM

JBW RULES, ARTICLE 3, "CLAIMING UNDRAFTED PLAYERS"

3.1. Timing. Claiming undrafted players will become available after the posting deadline for the last trade period of each season. Claim requests must be submitted to the Commissioner, or his designee, by a date to be determined by the Commissioner.

3.2. Claim Procedure. No more than three (3) claims by the same team can be made in any one season. Prior to the claim draft, each team may submit a list of players they would like to claim, to the Commissioner or his designee, in order of preference. After the initial round of selections has been completed a second and third round will ensue until all 20 teams have either claimed up to three players or passed. At that point, teams which have not claimed three players, may still make claims through the end of the regular season on a first-come, first-served, basis in the order in which the e-mail request was received by the Competition Committee Chairman or his designee.

3.3 Claims Awarded. The Commissioner will award waiver claim requests to teams in draft order based on the reverse order of winning percentage immediately prior to the All-Star break (ties broken by division standing then coin toss) of rounds similar to the draft and by their pre-submitted order of preference. The Commissioner will inform the Roster Officer of which team was awarded which claimed player(s). The Roster Officer will note on the rosters which players are claimed players, so they are not confused with pre-existing players, and will be removed from the rosters at the end of the regular season.

3.4. Claimed Player Limitations. No claimed player can be used in the playoffs, no claimed player can be traded and no claimed player can be kept by any team after the end of the season. Claimed players will be returned to the pool of undrafted players at the conclusion of the regular season and will be eligible to be drafted in the next draft if they continue to have an eligible card. Claimed starter only pitchers may not be used as R(1) relievers.
